Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors are responsible for the day-to-day management of our Trust and are ultimately accountable for the operational delivery of services, targets and performance.

There are seven non-executive directors which includes the Chair of our Trust. Our Board also has six executive directors including the Chief Executive. The membership of our Board of Directors is balanced, complete and appropriate. You can read more about both the executive and non-executive members in their profiles, further down this page.

The Board of Directors have a duty to ensure the provision of safe and effective services and they ensure that the service users experience is at the centre of everything we do at LYPFT. As part of this commitment the Board of Directors ensure that:

  • The Trust values are at the cornerstone of the work that they perform. They strongly believe in living the values and applying them to their ways of working to deliver the everyday management of our Trust.
  • They encourage our staff to engage and connect with local communities and partners.

All our non-executive directors are independent in character and judgement and we are assured that there are no relationships or circumstances that are likely to affect their judgement in this respect. The non-executive directors will assure themselves of performance by holding the executive directors to account for the achievement of the agreed goals, objectives, targets and measures.
