New non-executive directors appointed

Council of Governors appoints two new non-executive directors Professor John Baker and Mrs Sue White

The Trust is pleased to announce that Professor John Baker and Mrs Sue White have been appointed as non-executive directors. John started with us on 1 September and Sue will start on 7 November. Both have been appointed for a period of three years.

John is currently Professor of Mental Health Nursing at the University of Leeds. He has long standing professional and academic links to the delivery of high quality mental health and learning disability services and he is passionate about making a difference not only through his professional career but also on a personal level.

Sue has recently retired as the Chief Executive of Voluntary Action Sheffield and has had a long career within the health and social care sector. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role along with a passion to support the development of high quality services within the new models of delivery which are currently being considered.

Frank Griffiths, Chairman of Leeds Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I am delighted to welcome John and Sue as a members of the Board of Directors. They will bring a wealth of experience from within their specialist areas. I am confident that their skills and knowledge will be a great asset to the organisation as we continue to develop our services for the benefit of the people who use them”.
