Healthy Living Service - Wins National Award

The Trust's Healthy Living Service has received recognition from the British Heart Foundation in its annual national awards focused on National No Smoking Day.

The Trust was awarded first prize in the category “Best Use of 2016 theme” for our National No Smoking Day campaign and received the following feedback:

“The judges were very impressed with the mental health element you focused on and the informative videos you shared”.

The Healthy Living Service is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of: Healthy Living Advisors, Registered Dietitians, Registered Physiotherapist Health Promotion Specialist. The aim of the service is to empower service users to make positive lifestyle behaviour changes. The team provide interventions for service users to improve physical health and well-being. The topic areas include: physical activity, healthy eating, smoking cessation and brief advice for alcohol.

In April 2016 our Trust became smoke free, meaning staff, service users and visitors can no longer smoke in any of our buildings, grounds, vehicles or car parks.
