Seven Carol Services held across the Trust

This year, as part of our Christmas celebrations, we hosted no less than seven joyful carol services across our sites led by our Lead Chaplain, Laurence McGonnell.

We were delighted to kick off the festivities with over 50 colleagues and service users at The Mount, Leeds on Wednesday 13 December, where the atmosphere was lively and festive, attendees were in full voice and there were even mince pies shared afterwards! The Mount’s Chapel echoed with the sound of a wonderful team of hand bell ringers who entertained us with a variety of Christmas Carols and other favorite Christmas Tunes, encouraging us to sing along, and even join in with the celebrations!

Staff and service user competed for a small prize awarded for the most festive dress at each carol service, and they came suitably dressed in Christmas Jumpers, hats, sparkly glasses, and anything else that reminded them of Christmas.

As we wrap up this year’s services, Laurence McGonnell said:

“Thank you to all who have helped organise this year’s carol services and thank you to all who attended and participated so enthusiastically – thanks to their success we’re already planning next year’s events. Wishing a joyous Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our staff and service users.”
