Eating Disorders Service (Adult)

The Open Access Pathway is a collection of resources provided by the West Yorkshire Adult Eating Disorders Services, Link-ED and CONNECT.

The Open Access Pathway does not require a referral, and anyone with disordered eating is welcome to access the resources. Services provided under the Open Access Pathway include the Hub and Twilight Hub support groups, the Carer’s group, and online support via Instagram.

Support groups

The Hub and Twilight Hub are two support groups which are are facilitated by Link-ED. The support groups are peer-led spaces in which people are encouraged to share experiences of eating disorder related issues and think together about potential ways to overcome and recover from the eating disorder. The Carer’s group is facilitated by CONNECT and is open to anyone caring for a person with an eating disorder.

The Hub

The Hub is our weekly, online support group for anyone struggling with disordered eating (including difficulties around food, weight and body shape). The group takes places every Tuesday, 2pm until 3.30pm on Teams. Please see our Instagram page for additional information about the Hub, and updates if there are changes to the Hub.

Information about the groups and links to join them can be found via an automated response when you email our virtual connect inbox.

The Twilight Hub

We also offer a Twilight Hub on the first Wednesday of each month, 18:00-19:30, also on Teams. This group is specifically for those who are experiencing disordered eating. Please see our Instagram page for additional information about the Twilight Hub, and updates if there are changes to the Twilight Hub.

The Carer’s group

The Carer’s group is facilitated by CONNECT and is open to anyone caring for a person with an eating disorder. The group is also online, and takes place on the first Wednesday of the month between 7pm and 8pm on Teams.

The Carer’s group is open to any friends, family or carers of people with disordered eating and is a space to share experiences and learn from peers. Please see our Instagram page for additional information about the Carer’s group, and updates if there are changes to the Carer’s group.
