What support we provide

Whether you are religious or not, our team of dedicated chaplains and volunteers are here to offer emotional, pastoral, relational and spiritual support. If you seek guidance, a listening ear, or simply a safe space, we are here for you. We offer:

  • A welcoming space where you can be yourself
  • Compassionate support tailored to your needs
  • Confidential and non-judgmental conversations
  • Links with local world faith leaders and places of worship – we can contact and refer appropriately
  • Community links – we are willing to speak to local groups

What we can help with

  • We are here to care for you on a one-to-one basis
  • We are available for everyone, whether religious or not
  • The service we provide is confidential and non-judgemental under a strict code of practice

Who we support

We are open to all, including:

  • People of all religions and beliefs
  • Those who identify as spiritual but are not religious
  • People with no religious affiliation

What are Spiritual Needs?

The inner search for meaning, beliefs and values and how we express them. At times of change, crisis or illness we often question and struggle to find answers. Trust Chaplains are available for everyone, to listen and offer support, without judgement, whatever their beliefs.

Services of Worship

Available at your nearest faith room and on some wards. These are advertised on our faith room noticeboards.

Multifaith Resource Boxes

Each of our wards has a Multi-faith resource box containing holy books, prayers and various faith aids such as beads and mats. Please ask on your ward for details.

Referrals to Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy referrals from Trust colleagues should be made by staff via CareDirector. Alternatively, you can self-refer by contacting our department directly.
