Celebrating progress in the website redevelopment project

The Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust is thrilled to announce significant progress in our ambitious website redevelopment project, aimed at enhancing user experience and accessibility for our service users and their carers. This project, spanning from 2024 to 2027, is a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality care and improving lives through digital innovation.

Achievements to date

Our dedicated team, including the digital agency, who maintains the website, HMA, has successfully completed the technical actions outlined in the audit report. This milestone ensures that our website is more accessible and a better experience for our visitors. Additionally, we have revamped the homepage to be more user-friendly and accessible, making it easier for visitors to navigate and find the information they need.

The image shows the top third of the homepage of the Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust website. The header includes a search bar, accessibility options, and buttons to switch colors and languages. Below the header is a navigation menu with links to various sections such as "Our Services," "Advice and Support," "News, Events and Blogs," "Get Involved," "Research," "Careers," "About Us," and "Contact Us." The main section features a welcome message that reads: "Welcome to Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. We are leading the way in mental health, learning disability and neurodiversity care so the communities we serve can live healthy and fulfilling lives; our people can achieve their personal and professional goals; everyone can live their lives free from stigma and discrimination." To the right of this message is an image of four healthcare professionals wearing different colored uniforms standing or sitting against a blue background. Underneath the text is a white rectangle button with blue text on top with the call to actin to "Find out more about us".

A special mention goes to our website Super Users and Content Owners embedded in our care services and support service teams, who have been instrumental in converting old documents and reviewing pages. Their tireless and continued efforts are helping to keep our content up-to-date and relevant, providing valuable information to our service users.

We have also recently updated three of our services microsites to a new template, based upon feedback from workshops with members of the Service User Network, that are accessible and designed with our key audiences in mind.

Ongoing efforts and future goals

While we celebrate these achievements, we recognise that there is still much work to be done. Our focus now shifts to updating more of our care service pages, removing outdated content and changing our processes for document management. We are committed to updating all care services to our new template, ensuring consistency and compliance across the website.

Looking ahead, we aim to maintain our website’s compliance with accessibility standards and provide regular updates on our progress. We encourage our stakeholders to stay tuned for more detailed updates as we continue to work towards our goals.

Stay connected

We are excited about the journey ahead and the positive impact these changes will have on our service users. Regular updates will be provided, so hold on for more details as we move forward with the website redevelopment project.
