Council of Governors’ meetings

Council of Governors' meetings are held throughout the year at venues across Leeds and York.

Our Council of Governors’ meets three times throughout the year at a number of different venues. Council of Governors’ meetings are chaired by the Chair of the Trust and members of the Trust’s Board of Directors are also present. Members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings to listen to the discussions and see our Governors in action.

The agendas and supporting papers for each Council of Governors’ meeting are posted onto our website around one week before the meeting. We publish the minutes of each Council of Governors’ meeting after these have been approved by the Council. Please help the Trust in our initiative to be ‘paper light’. We will provide copies of the agenda at the Council of Governors’ meetings but we will not have full printed packs of the papers available. If you would like to come to the meeting but are unable to access the papers electronically, please contact us at corporategovernance.lypft@nhs.net to request a printed copy of the pack and we will bring this to the meeting for you.

Members of the Trust, staff and public are welcome to attend any public Council of Governors’ meetings. These meetings are held in public (they are not public meetings). However, if you would like to ask a question these should be submitted in advance to our Head of Corporate Governance by emailing corporategovernance.lypft@nhs.net.
