Discover our Research and Development Annual Report: A collaborative effort
We’re delighted to share with you our Research and Development Annual Report 2023/24. This document is our most person-centered report we have produced to date. We are pleased to announce this year, we have partnered with the Help from Experts by Experience in Research (HEER) Group to co-design the document to ensure our report is accessible, understandable, and centered around the experiences of service users.
By working closely with the HEER group – which is made up of service users and carers – throughout the creation process, we’ve made a report that not only highlights our research achievements but also demonstrates the impact of our research on people’s lives. The HEER group were able to review the document and add perspective on what people would like to see from us as a department.
When asked about co-designing the report one HEER group member said:
“Working on this project was very rewarding. It was inclusive and interesting. As a Service User it is really frustrating when the outcomes of a research project to which you have contributed are presented in wordy, complex terms. This was an opportunity to improve the accessibility and quality of the information.”
The annual report was pulled together by our Research Programme Manager, Zoe Jackson.
We’re excited to continue this collaborative approach in all our published documents. In our next annual report, we aim to further expand the involvement of colleagues across the Trust. If you’re interested in contributing your perspective, please reach out to the R&D team.
