CQC rating and report

The Specialised Supported Living Service helps around 90 adults with varying degrees of learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex needs across Leeds to live independently.

Our team of around 250 staff offer people the opportunity to live in their own accommodation and to lead active lives.

Our Mission is:

Support for who you are
Support for who you want to be

We believe that everyone, no matter what their disability, should be free to make choices about their lifestyle and have their needs, wishes and aspirations met whilst living in their own accommodation. We help people achieve this whilst ensuring they stay safe and live healthy lives.

What to expect

Our dedicated staff provide support directly into people’s homes. They work in teams of between 10 and 18, dependent on the degree of support required by people who access the service.

Packages of care and support are based upon each individual’s person-centred plan and enable people to remain healthy and safe on their own terms.

Each team specialises in either supporting people who have additional complex and challenging behaviour or those who have complex physical, learning and sensory needs.

Making a referral

All referrals to our service should be made via the Leeds Adult Social Care Learning Disability Nominations Panel.

More information about this can be found on Leeds City Council’s support for adults with learning disabilities page.
