Constituency: Volition: Leeds (Learning Disabilities Representative)
elected to the Council of Governors & Our Governors

I have worked in the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector since 2018, advocating for the human rights of, and better health outcomes for people with a learning disability – nationally and internationally, using coproduction and co-working models. More recently, my current work at Volition – Forum Central has been focused working locally in Leeds, leading on a learning disability network and a sexual health network to encourage partnership working, collaboration, and to bring constructive challenge and advocacy at a strategic level. I will use my governor role as an opportunity to represent the views of people with a learning disability and organisations supporting them.
