Zumer Jawaid joined Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in 2013 as a trainee and specialised in Old Age Psychiatry with endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry. She took up Consultant post in August 2020.

She is based in West North West area of Leeds at St Mary’s Hospital. She works with Community Mental Health Team and Memory Assessment Services providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment for older people with mental health problems including memory problems. She provides care and appropriate treatment to older people with mental health in care homes within Care Homes Team.

She leads the Young People’s with Dementia Service providing assessment, diagnosis and appropriate treatment and care interventions for adults (up to the age of 65) with dementia.
