Predictors of Dropout and Non-Attendance in NHS Gambling Clinics
Analysis of clinical data to predict dropout and non-attendance in the Northern Gambling Service.
What is the study about?
The aim of this research is to understand why some people who are referred to NHS gambling services don’t stay in treatment or attend first appointments. Researchers from the University of Sheffield will analyse anonymised records from the Northern Gambling Service to look for patterns in who stays and who drops out, and at what point (before assessment, early therapy, mid-treatment, or later). It is hoped that the results from this study will help services identify people who are at risk of leaving so that they can tailor treatment to each person’s needs][The aim of this research is to understand why some people who are referred to NHS gambling services don’t stay in treatment or attend first appointments.
