Street Triage – Health-based Place of Safety

Our Street Triage teams provides urgent mental health triage for adults to our partners in the emergency services in Leeds, including the police and paramedics.

Health-based Place of Safety (Section 136)

This is a service for adults of any age who are detained by the Police for their own safety under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act. It’s a safe place where they can receive a mental health assessment with health professionals, rather than be detained in police custody.

Child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) Health-based Place of Safety (Section 136)

This is a service for people under 18 years old who are detained by the Police for their own safety under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act. It’s a safe place where they can receive a mental health assessment with health professionals, rather than be detained in police custody.

Our Child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) Health-based Place of Safety is based at Red Kite View.
