Celebrate 100 years of learning disability nursing

Start Date:October 31, 2019 10:00 am

End Date:October 31, 2019 4:00 pm

Venue: The Bridge Community Church, Rider Street, Leeds, LS9 7BQ

Find out why learning disability nurses have been around for 100 years and why learning disability nursing is something to celebrate!

Learning disability nurses are very proud of the impact they have. They help, along with their colleagues, to make big differences to the lives of the people they support, but they are not always good at shouting out about themselves.

This is going to change, at least for one day, so please come and celebrate with the nursing team on Thursday 31 October at Bridge Community Church anytime between 10am and 4pm. You can find out why LD nurses have been around for 100 years and why learning disability nursing is something to celebrate!

This is a drop in event, so there’s no need to book.

The event will provide the opportunity to learn more about learning disability nursing, how it has advanced, what we do now and how the needs of people with learning disabilities can effectively be met both in learning disability specific services and non-specialist settings.

It is going to be a fun day where you can join in a quiz and chat with our learning disability nurses to learn more about learning disability specific issues and ultimately celebrate with us the evolution of our profession.
