A big thank you to Team LYPFT – wherever you are
Our Chief Executive Dr Sara Munro joins citywide leaders in saying a big thank you to staff.
Earlier this week I put my signature on a letter for all health and care staff across the city of Leeds to say thank you for all their efforts so far in responding to and managing the pandemic.
It is important that we say thank you; it is the least we can do. Your commitment to providing and supporting the delivery of safe, reliable and effective care under the most difficult of circumstances has been astounding. Let us not forget this is an unprecedented incident never before seen in our lifetimes – and hopefully never again.
Whilst a lot of you work within the confines of the city, I am very conscious that hundreds more of you work in York and across the North of England. So, this is very much a tribute to you too. You have all adapted amazingly to the pandemic conditions; donned and doffed the PPE; taken up home working, and many of you have quite selflessly been redeployed. We are so grateful and we could not have got this far without you.
I recognise we are not out of the woods and we’re facing a tough few months ahead. But I and my exec colleagues are committed to keep listening to you all, and learning and acting on what we hear so we can try to improve your working lives as far as we can.
So, in short; thank you.
