Our staff and patients enjoy free festive treats
We have been sharing free festive treats for NHS staff and patients across Leeds and York
Here at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT), we have partnered with local entrepreneur Mister Coffee to provide our staff with a free hot drink and sweet treat as a festive ‘thank you’ for their continued hard work.
Mister Coffee’s red van is visiting 12 sites over 11 days in December. As part of the offer, service users, carers and visitors will also be able to grab a complimentary drink and a snack. Its been extremely popular so far.
Amy Harker, People Engagement Practitioner at LYPFT, said: “It’s been another very tough year for our staff who do such an amazing job day in, day out. We wanted to show our appreciation at this time of year and bring a little joy to people where they work.
“We’ve commissioned Leeds-based business Mister Coffee to go around our main inpatient and community sites in Leeds and York and offer a free hot drink and a snack.
“We hope it enables staff to take a few minutes to come off shift and enjoy something nice on us. It’s the least we can do. We’re also opening the offer to any service users, carers and visitors who are on-site at the time.”
Benji, the owner of Mister Coffee, is from Leeds. He started his mobile coffee business in 2021 after his family business went under just before the pandemic. Benji will make a total of 22 trips visiting 12 sites in Leeds and York 11 days before Christmas Day.
