Spotlight on Creativity: The 20th Arts and Minds Exhibition

Opening on World Mental Health Day – Friday 10 October 2025

This October, we are proud to celebrate a special milestone in creativity, connection and community. The Arts and Minds Network, in partnership with Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, invites you to the 20th Annual Exhibition – Spotlight, opening on World Mental Health Day at Northlight Arts Centre in Leeds.

For 20 years, Arts and Minds has championed the power of creativity to support mental health and wellbeing. This year’s exhibition continues that journey, showcasing artwork from members across Leeds. You will see painting, photography and mixed media created by people with lived experience, carers, NHS staff and members of the wider community.

Why You Should Visit

This exhibition is for everyone, whether you are a service user, their carer, or family member, a member of staff or simply someone who cares about creativity and mental health, you are warmly invited to join us. It is more than an art show. It is a celebration of community, resilience and self-expression. It is a space where creativity brings people together, challenges stigma and reminds us that we are not alone.

Arts and Minds believes creativity is not just a hobby, it is a way to connect, recover and grow. Through shared experiences, people build confidence, reduce isolation and feel part of something bigger.

What You Will See

The exhibition explores themes of identity, recovery and hope. It offers a powerful reflection on how art can support mental health and wellbeing.

  • Exhibition dates: Friday 10 to Sunday 19 October 2025
  • Venue: Northlight Arts Centre, 31 Potternewton Lane, Leeds LS7 3LW
  • Visit the Northlight website for opening times

A Partnership That Makes a Difference

The partnership between Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Arts and Minds has brought huge benefits to both service users and staff. Together, we have created spaces where creativity supports recovery, builds confidence and fosters connection.

This exhibition is a celebration of what we can achieve when we work together,, across services, communities and experiences – to challenge stigma and celebrate the strength found in creativity.
