Trust pharmacist celebrates award win

One of the Trust's Lead Pharmacists has won an award for the outstanding contribution she's made to undergraduate medical education in Leeds.

Anita Solanki has been presented with a Teaching Recognition Award by the Leeds School of Medicine at the University of Leeds.

The awards are in their first year and recognise those who continually receive good feedback from students.

There were nine winners in total and Anita was the only pharmacist.

She said: “My aim when spending time with medical students is to make a real and positive difference to prescribing practice and the feedback I’ve received suggests this aim is being achieved.

“I am delighted to have been nominated and supported in receiving this Teaching Recognition Award – the first received by a pharmacist.”
