New Non-Executive Director

The Trust welcomes Merran McRae to the Board

Merran McRae joined the Board of Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as a Non-executive Director on 1 January 2022. She is a member of the Trust’s Workforce Committee and Mental Health Legislation Committee.

Merran has over thirty years’ experience in Local Government, leading services across housing, social care, culture and community development. She has been a statutory Director of Adult Social Care and Chief Executive at both Calderdale and Wakefield Councils.

She retired from her full time career in 2020 and now undertakes short term consultancy and interim work in the public sector, as well as being on the Boards of several charities.

Merran said: ‘’My role on the Board is to provide support and challenge to ensure that the Trust is well led and delivering on its aims and objectives now and into the future. By holding the executive directors to account I am able to be assured that services are provided in the most effective and efficient way. I am passionate about person-centred services run by a workforce that is valued and well supported.’’
