Leeds Oasis Crisis House reopens following improvement works
Leeds Oasis Crisis House has reopened following a temporary closure in July for essential improvement works.
The crisis house, run by Leeds Survivor-Led Crisis Service (LSLCS) in partnership with Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT), offers an alternative to hospital admission for people who do not require a bed on an acute ward and may benefit more from a homely environment.
An enhanced offer
The following improvements have been made, enabling the service to support more people and make the building more accessible.
- Bed capacity has increased from five to six rooms.
- Additional space has been created for staff use.
- A fully accessible bedroom has been added.
- A new summerhouse has been built in the Oasis garden as a private space for confidential conversations.
- One-to-one support space has been improved.
Alongside these improvements, other essential maintenance works have been completed, including plumbing repairs, fixing leaks, and clearing drains and gutters.
Phone numbers for the service remain unchanged, and the service is operating with the standard referral process.
