Former Assistant Chief Executive joins Trust Board

Helen Grantham has been appointed to Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s Board as a Non-executive Director. 

Helen, who lives in Otley, was Assistant Chief Executive at Wakefield Council until October 2017 with responsibility for Human Resources, ICT, Communications, Customer Services, Policy and Performance. She had previously been Head of Human Resources at Leeds City Council for 10 years.

She is a now freelance and a director of her own company, Entwyne, which offers HR and organisational development consultancy. Additionally she is an Apprenticeship Ambassador for Yorkshire and Humber and member of the Leeds City Region, Employment and Skills Partnership Advisory Group for Employability.

Helen said: “I know I’m joining the Trust at an exciting time. It has an ambitious agenda for service improvement and I bring 30 years of leadership experience to my role as a Non-executive Director.

“My role is to provide support and challenge in ensuring that the Trust is well led and delivering on its aims and objectives. I have a particular focus on everything workforce related and the Trust’s aim of being an ‘Employer of Choice’. Skilled and engaged employees who demonstrate the values of the Trust at work will be helping to make sure service users and carers get the best possible services.”

Trust Chair, Professor Sue Proctor, welcomed Helen to the Board of Directors, saying: “We’re very pleased to add Helen’s broad experience of the public sector and her workforce expertise to the range of Non-executive Director skills. I’m sure she will be an active and enthusiastic service user and staff champion.”
