As a carer for a service user in LYPFT, I have experienced first hand the challenges faced and
positive interactions for carers supporting a service user. I have participated in different
initiatives to involve carers in a service users care. I am passionate that carers’ roles, knowledge
and feelings must be recognised and acknowledged. Within my role, I would like to highlight the
importance of good communication from professionals with carers and working together with a
trauma informed approach.
