Returning to work: How to keep well

  • Wednesday 26th March
  • 9:30 - 12:30pm
  • The Small Mill (Leeds Dock)

Workshops and retreats exclusively for people who work for: NHS, local government, primary care, independent care providers, the third sector or in education in Leeds.

Returning to work after a significant period of time off can be a really worrying time, and evoke a mix of emotions, and understandably so.

Starting off the return well and beginning this transition back to the workplace can be important to keeping well and staying well.  But it can be hard to know what to ask for or how to communicate your needs. Things may have changed while you have been absent, and you may feel differently.

In this workshop we will:

  • Think about what your needs are and how you can communicate them on your return.
  • Explore how to be more compassionate to ourselves in this time of transition.
  • Consider the changes that may have occurred individually for you, and in your workplace and the support you may require to manage these effectively.

This retreat is designed to be a standalone session, which is separate from your workplace or team.  Your attendance is voluntary and not reported back to a manager or any team member.

This space is dedicated to you, to reflect on your thoughts and feelings and think about how to support your own wellbeing.

This course will be delivered from The Small Mill (Northpoint Wellbeing), Chadwick Street, Leeds, LS10 1LJ

The Small Mill is a short walk away from Leeds Dock and the Royal Armouries Museum and approximately a 20-minute walk from the city centre, and from both bus and train stations

Parking nearby is limited. The closest car parks are RCP Parking on Sheaf St and CitiPark Leeds Dock. There is some limited on-street parking for two hours maximum.
