Mindfulness day-workshop

  • Tuesday 20th May
  • 10am - 3pm
  • Jamyang Buddhist Centre (Holbeck)

Workshops and retreats exclusively for people who work for: NHS, local government, primary care, independent care providers, the third sector or in education in Leeds.

This day-workshop is designed for those who have completed a Mindfulness course, or already have a mindfulness practice. Led by Kate, our experienced facilitator from our Mindfulness for beginners course, this day offers a gentle space to nurture and expand your practice.

Join us for a rejuvenating day, to nurture your existing mindfulness practice, including mindful sitting, walking and eating. There will be time for reflection and group discussion, with practices to reconnect with yourself, and a focus on self-compassion.

This day is offered as an opportunity to slow down, feel recharged and to connect with our Mindfulness practice.

What to expect:

  • Guided sessions to deepen your practice
  • Mindful movement activities to nourish your body and soul
  • Space to reflect on your own mindful practice, and opportunities for group discussion and connection.

We’ll also be inviting you to do some floor based practices – so if you have a yoga mat, a small cushion or blanket – please bring those along with you too.

(We’ll have a few spare mat’s with us, please let us know when booking if you’ll need one for use on the day).

Before booking:

There’s an expectation that you’ll have an existing Mindfulness practice. So if your new to Mindfulness, we would suggest that you look out for our Mindfulness for beginners course dates.

Our day will include some time of silence and slowing down, with space to reflect on your own mindfulness practice and you need to be familiar with doing Mindfulness practices before you attend  this day-workshop.

With the support of Leeds Health and Care Academy, these experiential sessions are exclusively for people who work in the NHS, local government, primary care, independent care providers, the third sector and education in Leeds.

Each retreat has up to 14 places, and we ask you to book via your work email address to confirm your eligibility.
