What I do

My role on the Board is to hold the Chief Executive and her Executive Team to account for the delivery of the organisation’s strategic aims and objectives. I am a member of the Audit Committee and the Finance and Performance Committee.

How I contribute to improving the experience of service users and carers

By holding the executive directors to account I am able to be assured that services are provided in the most safe, timely, equitable, efficient, effective, and patient-centred way. I am also able to be assured that clinical quality controls, and systems of risk management and governance, are robust and implemented.

My experience

I am passionate about the NHS and supporting the local community.

I have considerable experience at Board level, both in the UK and globally, driving innovation and thought leadership across large multinationals. I have held a number of global senior leadership positions in industry, including British Telecommunications public limited company (BT plc) as Director of Strategy, Transformation and Operations. I have a demonstrable track record in leading small to complex change in public and private sectors.

I am an experienced non-executive director having served for several years on the Board of York and Scarborough Teaching hospitals and currently for Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, championing improvements for patients and staff with a particular focus on digital, sustainability and culture change.

I am a co-owner of a business consultancy which specialises in Artifical Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Transformation and Change, delivering value-led sustainable digitally enabled solutions.

I also hold a Master of Business Administration degree together with a number of professional business qualifications.
