Alison Quarry takes up the role of Deputy Director of Nursing

Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust (LYPFT) has announced the appointment of Alison Quarry as its new Deputy Director of Nursing.

Alison joined the NHS in 2006 and came to LYPFT in 2012 to work in Inpatient Services. Since then, she has held a breadth of roles across the organisation, developing her knowledge and experience of nursing in the process.

The Trust’s Director of Nursing and Professions, Nichola Sanderson welcomed Alison’s appointment by saying; “I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Alison as our permanent Deputy Director of Nursing.  Alison and the other candidates went through a robust and thorough interview process. However, it was Alison’s commitment to nursing and the wider system working across Leeds and the ICB, along with her passions and determination to provide great quality care that made her stand out from the rest of the field. She brings a wealth of experience to the role and I’m sure will be a major influence in taking the Trust forward.”

Speaking shortly after the announcement Alison said, ““I am delighted to have been appointed into the substantive role of Deputy Director of Nursing at the Trust after having held the in the interim post since June 2023.

“I now look forward to continuing working alongside our Director of Nursing and Nursing colleagues to develop and enhance our Nursing strategy to create our future vision for the nursing workforce.”
