Diabetes Self-Management Programme

What is this study about?

The Research and Development Team are working with the University of York and two trained two clinicians in the trust to deliver the DIAMONDS research programme which is designed to support people with serious mental illness live healthier lifestyles.

Who can take part?

The study invites service users living in the community who have type 2 diabetes and schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder or bipolar disorder.

What is involved?

All service users who take part at this stage are offered the programme. They will be allocated a coach for 16 weekly 1-1 sessions and offered group sessions as well. They will be supported to set goals with the use of a workbook and digital app.
