The QUEST study aims to understand more about what it is like to live with a mental health condition alongside a long term physical health condition, and learn more about how health care services can be improved for these people in the future.
Who can take part?
Service users: anyone over 18 living with a diagnosis of SMI (psychosis/bipolar/schizophrenia or related disorder) and a long term physical health condition (such coronary heart disease, diabetes, COPD and chronic kidney disease).
Carers or Staff: anyone over 18 who has experience of supporting someone living with SMI and a long term health condition.
What is involved?
Interested service users will be asked to take part in a short face to face interview about their experiences and have the opportunity to take part in a short observation of a daily activity of their choice.
Staff will be invited to take part in a focus group / short discussion about their experiences of supporting patients living with SMI and long term health conditions.
Carers would be invited to complete a short face to face interview about their personal experiences.
