Older People's Inpatient Services

Here at The Mount we work to provide a warm and friendly welcome to you and your loved ones. We appreciate admission to The Mount may be daunting at first so we hope the above video provides some further information and clarity on this process.

We aim to be as flexible as possible with our visiting arrangements, however in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and to ensure we can protect our most vulnerable service users some restrictions will be in place at times.

Visiting area at The Mount

We have opened a newly renovated visiting area within the hospital to allow you and your loved ones privacy and time away from the ward. In the summer months there may also be opportunities to use our gardens during your visit.

We work closely with families and carers here at The Mount. We will involve you in your loved ones care whenever we can, as long as they happy for us to do so. We have weekly ward rounds which we welcome your input into, as well as care programme approach (CPA) meetings to establish recovery focused care goals.
