NHS75 @ LYPFT

A special event to celebrate 75 years of the NHS

You are invited to join us for a special event on Tuesday 25 July 2023 to mark 75 years of the NHS with Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT).

We’ll be holding our annual general meeting in the morning where our Chief Executive, Chief Financial Officer and Lead Governor will give presentations on our key achievements and challenges from 2022/23. There will also be an opportunity to ask board members questions. If you’d like to submit a question in advance, please email us at corporategovernance.lypft@nhs.net.

We’ll then be serving a delicious afternoon tea for all attendees to enjoy.

After lunch we’ll be holding a special event to celebrate the NHS’ 75th birthday.

Since the NHS was founded on 5 July 1948, it has always innovated and adapted to meet the needs of each generation. The founding principles remain as relevant, and as valued, today as they were 75 years ago. There is a range of events and initiatives celebrating this major milestone taking place across the country. Find out more about what’s going at www.england.nhs.uk/nhsbirthday.

At our event, we’ll be showcasing stories from staff, volunteers, service users and carers, and those with lived experience about how the NHS has helped them, or how the service has evolved and improved over the years to meet their needs. And it’s not just about us at LYPFT, as we recognise that the strength of our partnerships with local groups and organisations is also what makes us great.

There will also be interactive sessions and hopefully artistic performances too.

Our NHS75 @ LYPFT event will take place from 10am until 3:30pm on Tuesday 25 July 2023 in the Palm Court Room at The Queen’s Hotel, near the train station in Leeds city centre.

The event is free to attend but numbers are restricted. So if you’d like to attend: register your interest with our events team here.
