In loving memory of Lynn Harper: 1959 to 2020

It is our sad duty to report the death of Lynn Harper, a Domestic Assistant within our Facilities Services Department.

Lynn died at home in late April and the cause of death is currently being determined. We will share this with her close colleagues once we know, subject to consent from her family.

Lynn started work within the Trust’s Domestic Services Department in February 2002.  Throughout her time Lynn covered many buildings on the St. Mary’s Hospital site including Hawthorne/Oakday, the Resource Centre, Bungalows 1 and 5, the Rehabilitation Unit and Holly House.

Lynn built up working relationships with many staff and service users and became a highly valued member of the team. She was a great team player and would often cover other areas at short notice.

Lynn will be missed by a great many people across the Trust but none more so than at St. Mary’s Hospital where she had become part of the family.

To honour Lynn’s memory, her team are looking to purchase a bench and have a plaque made which will simply say: “In loving memory of Lynn and Christopher Harper” – her beloved son whom she tragically lost in 2011.
