Sally Rawcliffe-Foo

Constituency: Staff, Clinical
elected to the Council of Governors

I became a staff governor because I am passionate about ensuring that services provide the best care possible. I strongly advocate service users being at the centre of their care; feeling supported, involved, informed and consulted with at every stage of their recovery.

I am a registered Occupational Therapist now working in forensic psychiatry. Transitioning into a management role I saw an opportunity to influence service delivery, reduce the impact of stigma and promote the empowerment of service users as a means to improve clinical outcomes and reduce the demand on mental health services.

I was recently awarded the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson NHS Academy Leadership Award and plan to use my knowledge, skills and passion for putting the patient at the heart of all healthcare delivery, to influence the work of the Trust.
