I am committed to improving patient care and highly experienced in mental healthcare. Throughout my 20 years of working in LYPFT, I have had the privilege of working across many disciplines which has given me a wealth of knowledge and understanding, enabling me to find my passion within specialist personality disorder services. During the Covid-19 pandemic I was redeployed to support acute inpatient services, which was one of the most challenging experiences of my career. However, this led to a renewed sense of enthusiasm and passion in becoming actively involved in making services more accessible and meaningful to people accessing the NHS. Being appointed as a mentor for the Interim Chief Executive in 2016 was a fantastic opportunity to share my experiences as a healthcare support worker and learn more about the strategic and non-clinical aspects of LYPFT, which I feel will be beneficial to my governor role.
