Marc Pierre Anderson
Constituency: Service User, Leeds
elected to the Council of Governors
“I am passionate about my role as a governor as I want to make a positive change to my life and the lives of others. Following an unfortunate accident some years ago, the NHS provided me with the best care and I am determined to give back by helping to shape the future of the mental health and learning disability services offered by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
What I find most enjoyable about being a governor is the feeling of knowing I have made accomplishments. I like to participate in Council meetings and meet the members of the Board of Directors, as well as getting satisfaction knowing that I have helped others.
My advice to others who are considering becoming a governor is to go for it; it is everything to know that you are making a change for the better.”
