Confidence & self-esteem (Jan25)
- Starts, Wednesday 22nd January (8 sessions)
- 1 - 3pm
- The Small Mill (Leeds Dock)
When you feel confident, it’s likely you’ll make decisions that are good for you and your health.
Confidence is believing in yourself – believing that you are capable of completing tasks and reaching goals. Knowing that you have skills and positive qualities, and are able to face the challenges that may come your way.
Confidence levels can change throughout our life and they can differ across the areas of our lives, too. We may be more confident in speaking with people face to face or in talking on the phone, we may be more confident in meetings at work or being around friends or in social situations.
Many things can affect our level of confidence and our self-esteem, how we see and feel about ourselves, can be a big influencer. When our self-esteem is low, we can see mistakes and our faults very easily and overlook the positive contributions we make.
Through discussion and exercises this course aims to give you an alternative way of viewing who you are, your qualities, skills and talents.
In this course we will;
- Investigate ways we can begin to change how we think about confidence and self-esteem
- Be able to relax and refocus
- Create a plan to support you’re journey in building confidence and self-esteem
This course will be delivered from The Small Mill (Northpoint Wellbeing), Chadwick Street, Leeds, LS10 1LJ
