Introduction to The Four Agreements

In this workshop we’ll be exploring the unhelpful agreements that we make and introducing you to The Four Agreements by Don Migel Ruiz.  The book was first published in 1997 and with an endorsement from Oprah Winfrey,  it soon sold millions of copies in the US, was translated into 46 languages, and was a mainstay on the New York Times bestseller list for over a decade.

The Four Agreements are:

  1. Be Impeccable With Your Word.
  2. Don’t Take Anything Personally.
  3. Don’t Make Assumptions.
  4. Always Do Your Best.

In this workshop we will be exploring the thinking behind the book, our critical self and reflecting on each of the four agreements. In this retreat we will:

  • Introduce you to the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
  • Explore where the beliefs of ‘not being good enough’ come from and how we can begin to change them
  • Consider the unhelpful and negative words we use, to communicate with ourselves, when we show kindness and compassion to others
  • Learn to accept that our best is good enough

This retreat includes a vegan / vegetarian lunch, refreshments throughout the day and additional take home resources.
