Qualified in Birmingham in 1999. Trained in Psychiatry in Yorkshire and appointed as locum Consultant with the Crisis Team in 2010. First substantive post was with the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team in Leeds, working less than full time between 2011 and 2017. In January 2017 returned to the Crisis team.
