Christian Hosker is currently the Lead Clinician for the Leeds Liaison Psychiatry Service and the interim lead psychiatrist for the specialist care group in the Trust. He has worked as a Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist at St James University Hospital, since 2008 and has a special interest in palliative care psychiatry, transplant psychiatry, medically unexplained symptoms and veterans’ mental health. He is additionally an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Leeds University and provides regular teaching on the Leeds University MRCPsych training course and the Leeds Beckett AMHP courses.

He has previously been the AMD for Mental Health Legislation in the Trust and provided medico-legal reports on behalf of LYPFT. He has also been the Academic Secretary for the Northern and Yorkshire Division of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and had an active role in the British Psycho-Oncology Society Executive Committee.

His research interests include agitation at the end of life and hypoactive delirium.
