Care Quality Commission Registration Status

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health care services in England.  The CQC has the responsibility to ensure that people are provided with safe, effective, compassionate and high quality healthcare.  The Trust is required to register all services that deliver clinical care with the CQC.  Inpatient services, with wards group as hospitals where appropriate, are registered as separate listed locations and the majority of community services are listed under Trust Headquarters.

Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission without conditions. The attached document sets out the Trust's Statement of Purpose.

Quality Accounts

As part of a nation-wide focus on the quality of NHS services, all NHS Trusts are required to publish their Quality Accounts in 2010.

Our Quality Accounts focus on quality of services in three areas:

  • People achieve their agreed goals for improving health and improving lives
  • People experience safe care, and
  • People have a positive experience of their care and support.

The Trust’s Quality Accounts show the committed work that has taken place in the last year to improve the quality of services provided, as well as giving a forward look at how we aim to further improve the quality of our services.
